Kickin’ ass in Arnhem

Posted by Matt on Mar 14, 2009 in News

After chowin’ down on some Chinese food yesterday, we loaded up the van and headed back to Holland.  We arrived at Willemeen in Arnhem – it was a really impressive venue.  Good sound, lighting, and even a smoke machine.  Thanks to all of the staff there – y’all made us feel very welcome.  We were fortunate to share the stage last night with The Cowpokes, a local traditional bluegrass band.  These guys were great musicians and cool, laid back dudes.  Last night’s crowd was really into the show and we had a good time meeting many of them after our set.  We even got to autograph a hot girl’s shirt – a total rockstar moment.  After we made it back to Belgium, our tour manager Gert took us to his regular bar and introduced us to some of his friends and to some more delicious Belgian beer.  We proceeded to get straight up crunk.  Hell yes.

You guys totally rocked. Thanks for a great night and for reminding me to keep playing banjo!

We want a report from Zonhoven! You might be the first American band ever to perform in our little town. Congrats :-) Keep on playing those good tunes and come back soon!
